Construction is underway on the future home of Creighton Softball. Located on the corner of 20th and Burt Streets, the Bluejays will have a new state-of-the-art facility that ranks among the finest in all of Nebraska to call home.
The 79,011-square-foot stadium features state-of-the-art Triple Threat FieldTurf across the entire playing field, as well as a 15’ 11 1/8” x 31’ 6 5/16” fully electronic Daktronics DVX-2802 video/scoreboard in right-center field that will be operated from a new press box, which will include radio/TV booths, as well as space a separate space for the public address announcer, scorer and local and national press.
The facility will also feature two pitching surfaces in both the home and visiting bullpen areas, just down the line from sunken dugouts that include storage space and player restrooms.
In addition, the facility has 298 fixed seats with the potential for seating to added in the future. Restrooms and concession spaces will be provided at the main entrance of the stadium. Additionally, the facility is accessible to people with disabilities and seating inside the stadium meets ADA standards.
The field’s dimensions are 200’ down the left field line, 220’ to straight-away center field and 200’ down the line in right field.
Upon it's completion in the summer of 2025, Creighton Softball will move into the newly constructed Bluejay Park with the 2026 season being the first in their new home.
