
Men's Golf Finishes Ninth at Butler Fall Invitational

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- Creighton's Men's golf team placed ninth at the Butler Fall Invitational last Tuesday, scoring 626 as a team.
Oakland University led the team competition posting a 579 (289-290).
Butler completed their own tournament in second with 585 (287-298). Cleveland State followed close behind with 593 (297-296).
Creighton posted six rounds in the 70s, led by Michael Mulford, who finished nine up. Mulford tied for 20th in the tournament posting scores of 79 and 72, for a total of 151.
Harry Hoch tied for 30th with a score of 153 (78-75). John Gross brought 160 to the team by posting 79 and 81. Jared Stehr and John Dechant contributed scores of 162 and 171, respectively.
Colin Christie (Butler), Ryan Yelen (Oakland), and Kevin Kasprzyk (UW-Green Bay) led individual play with 141 each. Christie was the playoff winner.
The Jays return to action on October 3 at Ball State.
