Continuing where he left off on Friday night, T.J. Roemmich helped the Bluejays take an early lead in the second. After Vicente Cafaro was hit by a pitch, Roemmich doubled to straight away center, scoring Cafaro to put CU on the board. Jimmy Swift then walked with runners on four straight pitches to put runners on the corners with no outs. Ian Dike also walked, loading the bases before Nick Becker himself drew a walk bringing in Swift for the second run of the inning.
In the bottom of the fifth Elliot Soto got a hit for the 21st straight game, shooting a ball through the hole on the right side, putting runners at the corners with no outs. Cafaro then utilized a safety squeeze to score Robbie Knight from third and give the Bluejays a 3-0 lead.
Creighton extended its lead in the sixth when Becker came up with a single up the middle to plate Swift from second. Knight then made the CU advantage 5-0 when he tripled into the left field corner, allowing Becker to score.
Dufek (3-5) went the distance allowing just three hits while striking out seven and did not walk a man.
Creighton and Bradley will wrap up their series on Sunday with a game time of noon at the CU Sports Complex. The game had previously been scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
