
Women's Tennis Wraps up Second Day of Drake Invite

DES MOINES, Iowa - Creighton's Tess Reddin and Sarah Cadwallader highlighted the Jays second day at the Drake Invite, as the two took home the A consolation doubles title Saturday afternoon at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
Reddin and Cadwallader won three matches on Saturday after losing their first match on Friday. They won 8-3 over South Dakota's Isabel Nunez and Melanie Rockne, 8-4 over Nebraska-Omaha's Traci Moklestad and Kelsey Haas and finished with another 8-3 win over Shadi Solemani and Marina Kiefer of South Dakota.
In the B doubles Lauren Mastro teamed with Drake's Earlynn Lauer to make it to the championship final, but fell to Ali Patterson and Amanda Aragon 8-5 in the final.
In the A singles consolation bracket Mastro and Reddin advanced to the final, but did not play the final match.
Sarah Cadwallader led all singles players by advancing to the semifinals of the B singles bracket before falling to Iowa State's Jenna Langhorst 6-1 and 6-1.
The Jays will wrap up the tournament tomorrow back at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center. Matches are slated to start at 8:00 a.m.
