
Women's Tennis Keeps Rolling With 7-0 Win Over South Dakota

OMAHA, Neb. - The Creighton women's team (9-4) kept rolling through its non-conference schedule Saturday, as they won all nine singles and doubles matches en route to a 7-0 win over South Dakota (5-13) at the Hanscom Tennis Center.
Doubles started with a shutout at No. 1, as Kelsey Schmidt and Anna Kirshenbaum rocked Melanie Rockne and Kelsi Foster, 8-0. Leesa and Sarah Cadwallader made quick work of Shadi Soleymani and Rijalda Zejic at No. 2, with an 8-3 win, and Tess Reddin and Mary Pat McMullan matched that at No. 3, with another 8-3 triumph over Isabel Nunez and Marina Kiefer.
Singles were no different as Reddin bested Soleymani, 6-3, 6-2 and Kirshenbaum swept Rockne 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 and 2 respectively.
Lauren Mastro defeated Kiefer at No. 3, 6-2, 6-0 to clinch the dual, as Schmidt kept the Jays rolling with a 6-2, 6-1 'W' over Zejic.
Mary Pat McMullan and Lindsey Erickson took care of business at No. 5 and 6 respectively, with McMullan taking down Nunez 6-1, 6-1 and Erickson downing Foster, 6-2, 6-0 to wrap up the Bluejay victory.
The Jays will be in action next April 2 at home against Nebraska Wesleyan. Match time is slated for 1:00 p.m.
