
Men's Basketball's Korver Named to NABC Honors Court

OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton University men's basketball player Kaleb Korver has been honored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches for his work in the classroom with a spot on the NABC Honors Court.
Korver, who will be a senior when classes resume next month, owns a 3.322 GPA and is a Management major. He is a native of Pella, Iowa.
Korver had 71 points, 56 rebounds and 30 assists last season for a Creighton team that finished 18-16 and made a league-record 13th straight postseason appearance.
The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that various men's basketball student-athletes possess off the court, and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom. In order to be named to the Honors Court, an athlete must meet the following academic criteria:
1) Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.
2) Cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher at the conclusion of the 2009-10 academic year.
3) Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
4) Member of an NCAA Division I, II, III or NAIA institution.
