
Creighton faces Nebraska Omaha, then heads to California

The Creighton women's soccer team faces the Nebraska Omaha Mavericks (0-5-0) and the Cal State Fullerton Titans (1-4-0) on the road this week.
Scouting the Creighton Bluejays (1-4-1):
After earning their first victory of 2012, the Jays struggled in their final two contests last week. Overall Creighton downed South Dakota 3-1 on Tuesday, then dropped 3-0 and 3-1 decisions to Kansas and Arizona on Friday and Sunday.
Senior keeper Katie Jo Swanson matched a season-high with nine saves in the loss to the Jayhawks, her career-high is 10. Swanson has played every second in goal for the Jays this season (561:31). She has a 2.08 Goals Against Average (GAA) this season.
Senior Sarah Kendall and freshman Alyssa Jara lead the Jays in scoring with four points, Kendall has two goals this season, while Jara has one goal and two assists.
Scouting the Nebraska Omaha Mavericks (0-5-0):
The Mavericks have struggled through the first five matches against strong competition. UNO, however, authored its strongest effort in its last match, a 2-1 loss to Northern Colorado. After falling behind 1-0 in the opening 15 minutes, the Mavericks battled back to knot the score at 1-1 in the 35th minutes. The game remained tied into the 48th minute, when Northern Colorado took the lead for good.
Freshman Meaghan Clark nabbed a career-high nine saves in the loss to Northern Colorado. She has not left the net for the Mavericks this season, delivering a 3.20 GAA.
Scouting the Cal State Fullerton Titans (1-4-0):
The Titans could very easily be 3-2 or better this season as all four of their losses have come by one goal, including two in overtime. CSF is 0-2-0 at home this season,
suffering a 3-2 loss to USC to open the season and dropping a 1-0 decision to Oregon State last Thursday.
Junior transfer Katie Pulliam has minded the net for CSF, posting a 1.75 GAA in 461:46. Senior Stacey Fox leads the offense with seven points (3G, 1A).
