3-Point Contest Pairings Unveiled In Advance of Bluejay Madness

Bluejay fans can catch a glimpse of the 2014-15 Creighton men's and women's basketball teams by attending “Bluejay Madness” presented by First National Bank of Omaha at D.J. Sokol Arena inside the Wayne and Eileen Ryan Athletic Center on Friday, October 17.
The event will begin no earlier than 8:00 p.m., and will start about 30 minutes after the end of the volleyball team's BIG EAST match that night against St. John's (6:00 p.m., first-serve). Admission is free to the Bluejay Madness event, seating is general admission and venue doors will open at 6:45 p.m. Fans arriving prior to 6:45 p.m., will need to have a ticket for the Creighton-St. John's volleyball match to enter the venue (doors to the venue for volleyball ticket holders will open at 5:00 p.m.). Volleyball reserved tickets are $8 each for adults and $5 each for youth (ages 3-18) while general admission tickets are $7 each for adults and $4 each for youth (ages 3-18). Tickets can be purchased in advance at all Ticketmaster locations (Baker's, Younkers), Ticketmaster charge by phone at (800-745-3000) or by charging online at www.ticketmaster.com. Fans can also purchase tickets in advance by stopping by the Wayne and Eileen Ryan Athletic Center Ticket Office on weekdays from 9 a.m., until 4:30 p.m.
The Bluejay Madness event will include introductions of both the women's and men's teams, a three-point shooting contest, scrimmages by both squads and comments to the crowd by head coaches Jim Flanery and Greg McDermott.
Concessions and Creighton apparel will be available for purchase throughout the event, 2014-15 roster sheets for each team will be available free of charge and players from both teams will be available for autographs at the event's conclusion. CU Athletics Ticket Office personnel will be available throughout the event for fans interested in purchasing men's or women's basketball season tickets.
