Doug McDermott Presented With Wooden Award

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Creighton senior forward Doug McDermott picked up the John R. Wooden Award at the annual Wooden Awards Gala in Los Angeles, Calif., on Friday evening.
McDermott was accompanied by members of his family, as well as Creighton Director of Athletics Bruce Rasmussen and others, in the ceremony held at the Los Angeles Athletic Club.
Stanford's Chiney Ogumwike was honored with the women's John R. Wooden Award, Michigan State's with the LAAC Outreach Award, and Stanford's Tara VanDerveer earned the Legend of Coaching Award.
