Men's Tennis Wraps Up Play at Roger Knapp Invitational

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Creighton men's tennis team concluded play at Drake's Roger Knapp Invitational with 13 singles wins this weekend.
Eight Bluejays were in action at the Invitational and each picked up a win. Five Jays claimed a pair of victories.
CU junior August Nysted advanced to the only singles final for the Jays in Flight 5 by winning his first two matches before a setback.
Two more Bluejays claimed a pair of main draw victories. Junior Quinn Dippel of Flight 2 and senior Elliott Baker in Flight 3 each won their initial match before dropping a second contest and rebounding for a second victory to finish at 2-1.
A pair of Creighton players utilized the consolation draw to record a 2-1 record. Sophomore Jake Norman in Flight 1 and classmate Aaron Chalstrom of Flight 4 lost their initial main draw matches but came back to claim their respective consolation flights with two wins apiece.
CU junior Nick Thompson, sophomore Harrison Lang and freshman Alex Koca also registered victories for the Jays.
The Bluejays return to action as co-hosts of the Omaha Collegiate Invitational next weekend.
