
Men's Tennis Blanks Hastings 7-0 at Home

OMAHA, Neb. – The Creighton men's tennis team blanked Hastings by a 7-0 margin at the Hanscom Tennis Center this weekend.
Creighton (5-1) swept all three doubles contests from Hastings (0-6). The Bluejays also won all six singles matches in straight sets against the Broncos, never surrendering more than six total games in a contest.
In doubles action, sophomore Jake Norman and senior Elliott Baker earned a 7-5 victory on court one. At No. 2 doubles, juniors Quinn Dippel and Nick Thompson won by the same score. Sophomore Harrison Lang and junior August Nysted also won 6-1 on court three.
Most Bluejays ascended a position in singles action. Dippel took advantage of playing No. 1 singles with a 6-2, 6-3 victory. Lang won on court two 6-2, 6-1 while Baker claimed a 6-1, 6-2 decision at No. 3 singles.
Sophomore Aaron Chalstrom came up with a 6-4, 6-2 win at the No. 4 slot. Nysted recorded a 6-3, 6-1 victory on court five and sophomore Jake Glazer won by the same score at position No. 6.
Creighton hosts North Dakota at home on Saturday.
