10/7/2016 3:16:00 PM | Women's Soccer
Omaha, Neb. -- Senior Lauren Sullivan's seven-match streak of goal scored and St. John's streak of 331 minutes without a goal will each be put to the test on Sunday as Creighton hosts the Red Storm at 1:00 pm.
Series History: St. John's leads series, 2-1-1
St. John's holds a slim lead in the series with the Bluejays, taking the last two meetings with the two teams. Since becoming BIG EAST foes, the Red Storm hold a 2-0-1 edge on Creighton. The lone meeting as BIG EAST rivals in Omaha came in 2014 with St. John's earning a 1-0 win on Sept. 28. Last season St. John's claimed a 4-0 win over Creighton in Queens last season. Creighton, however, battled St. John's to a scoreless tie in 2013 in New York.
Scouting St. John's (6-2-5, 1-1-2 BIG EAST)
The Red Storm come to Morrison Stadium on a high note as St. John's earned a 0-0 split with #6 Georgetown on Thursday.
The strength of the Red Storm has without question been their defense as St. John's has allowed just two goals in four BIG EAST contests. The problem, however, has been its lack of offense. St. John's has scored just once in four contests, that coming in a 1-0 win at Seton Hall on Sept. 24. It has been 331:07 minutes of game time since that score.
Shea Connors leads the Red Storm with seven points on two goals and three assists.
The MVP of St. John's season thus far has been goalkeeper Diana Poulin. The senior has allowed just five goals this season over 13 matches for a 0.36 goals against average (GAA).
