Rowing Topped By Central Oklahoma

Oklahoma City, Okla. -- The Creighton Rowing team battled fiercely against the second-ranked Central Oklahoma Broncos (Division II), but ultimately fell in the meet on Saturday, April 30.

The Bluejays were less than seven seconds from taking the varsity 4+ race to open the meet. In the varsity 8+race Creighton was just a hair over four seconds behind. The second varsity 8+ race saw Central Oklahoma win the race by just over eight seconds.

"We had several great races today," said head coach Dan Chipps. "We are looking forward to continuing to improve over the next two weeks in prep from the WCC Tournament on May 14."

Saturday's meet was the Bluejays last tuneup before Creighton competes in the West Coast Conference Championship on Saturday, May 14 in Sacramento, Calif.
