Lake, Petersen, Yowell and Eversman Honored
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.  -- Creighton University's Grace Yowell, Kelsey Petersen, Sarah Eversman and Caroline Lake are among 828 collegiate golfers recognized by the Women's Golf Coaches Association as All-American Scholars.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50. The 2015-2016 WGCA All-American Scholar Teams can be found at http://www.gocreighton.com/documents/2016/7/5//WGCA_AllScholar_Release_1516.pdf?id=8719
Yowell was a senior at Creighton last year, Petersen a junior, Eversman a sophomore and Lake a freshman. Petersen was honored for the third consecutive year, while Yowell and Eversman both earned a second straight recognition..
Creighton's four honorees were tied for the most in the BIG EAST with Butler. Five of the league schools had zero or one person recognized.
The Bluejays, who placed sixth at the BIG EAST Championships in April, are coached by Debbie Conry.
