Women's Basketball Tries to Unwrap an Early Present Against #13 Florida State on Thursday

Omaha, Neb. --- In the midst of a three-game winning streak, the Creighton women's basketball squad looks to grab an early holiday present with a victory over #13 Florida State on Thursday, Dec. 21.

Creighton vs. Florida State:
Thursday will be the first meeting between the Seminoles and the Bluejays. The two squads are beginning a home-and-home as Creighton will travel to Tallahassee next season.
About Florida State
After opening the season with 10 straight victories, the Seminoles dropped their first contest on Dec. 17 at Texas 87-72.
Relying primarily on seven players, Florida State's Shakayla Thomas leads the Seminoles with 20.5 points per game. Three others also average double figures in Imani Wright (15.6 ppg), AJ Alix (14.0 ppg) and Nicki Ekhomu (10.6 ppg).
The Seminoles are extremely tough on the boards, entering Thursday's contest with a +13.1 edge per game in rebounds (45.1 to 32 allowed).
