Women's Basketball Looks to Upend #18 Villanova on Thursday

Omaha, Neb. -- Playing the second half of consecutive contests with ranked opponents, the Bluejays battle #18 Villanova on Thursday, Dec. 28. Creighton is 2-2 in BIG EAST openers, defeating Butler last season and Villanova in 2013-14, but lost to Seton Hall and St. John's respectively in 2014-15 and 2015-16.

Limited to just four games by a bone chip that broke lose in her right knee during the Bluejays' win over Wichita State on Nov. 10, sophomore Olivia Elger has made the most of her three contests at home with 53 points (17.7 ppg). She is 18-of-36 (50.0%) from field and 11-of-19 (57.9%) from long range at home.

For the sixth consecutive season the Bluejays scored at least 50 points in a half, putting up 51in the first half against #13 Florida State on Dec. 21.
