Women's Basketball Looks for Fifth Straight Against Seton Hall on Friday

Omaha, Neb. -- The Creighton women's basketball team will be looking to equal its longest winning streak of the season, five games, for the third time this season as the Bluejays host Seton Hall at 7:00 pm on Friday, Feb. 17.

- Creighton and Seton Hall are two teams heading in opposite directions lately. The Bluejays have won four straight and looking for their third five-game win streak of the season. The Pirates have dropped four straight.
- Seton Hall, however, pushed the Bluejays to the brink in the first meeting as Creighton needed a three-pointer from Works on their final possession in regulation to force overtime. In the extra period the Bluejays asserted themselves, claiming a 70-60 win on Jan. 22.
- The last time out Creighton knocked down a program record 17 three-pointers in their 88-57 win over Providence. Seton Hall, meanwhile, suffered an 82-57 loss to Villanova at home.
- Creighton has dropped just one game at home this season, that a four-point loss to #21 DePaul. Seton Hall is 1-9 on the road this season and 0-6 in
- conference road contests.
- Creighton holds a 5-3 series edge over the Pirates, taking the last two
- meetings. Seton Hall, however, has won the last two meetings with the Bluejays in Omaha.
- Seton Hall is actually one of just three BIG EAST schools that have a winning record (2-1) in Omaha. The other two being DePaul (3-2) and St. John's (2-1).

- One of the Pirates' weaknesses has been their defense. Seton Hall is 10th in the BIG EAST in scoring defense, allowing 73.5 ppg. Â

- Ball Security: Creighton was fortunate in the first meeting that its 19 turnovers only resulted in 13 Pirate points. Â
- Crash the Glass: Seton Hall ranks 10th in both offensive and defensive rebounding in BIG EAST games.
- Expose the interior: Seton Hall outscored the Bluejays 32-20, but Rollerson was 6-of-8 for 12 points.
