Creighton did not drop a set in doubles or singles action
OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton men's tennis team defeated Doane 7-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Koch Family Tennis Center.
The Bluejays improved to 6-8 overall and 4-1 at home. The Jays will play their next three and four of their final five regular-season matches at home.
Creighton picked up 6-0 victories at the top two doubles spots and a 6-2 win at No. 3 to clinch the doubles point.
Aaron Chalstrom and Armando Gandini paired up at the No. 2 slot for their team-leading eighth doubles victory and sixth in a row.
The Jays won in straight-sets at all six singles positions.
Harrison Lang (No. 1), Brooks Kendall (No. 2) and Jake Glazer (No. 3) each picked up their Creighton-best seventh singles victory.
Both Michael Koch and Marko Vukalovic recorded victories in their first singles matches during the 2017 season.
"Our guys played well in the win and did what they needed to do today to win," head coach Tom Lilly said. "Doane has a new coaching staff this year that will continue to improve, but we just had too much fire power today. It was good to play some players that have been great role players so far this year."
