Harrison Lang and Brooks Kendall Earn CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

Both athletes boast 4.00 GPAs
OMAHA, Neb. -- Senior Harrison Lang and junior Brooks Kendall have been named to the CoSIDAÂ Academic All-District VII Men's At-Large First Team.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. District VII consists of student-athletes from the states of Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming. The Men's At-Large Team consists of student-athletes that participate in fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis, volleyball, water polo and wrestling. Lang and Kendall will move on to the Academic All-America ballot later this month.
Lang owned a 4.00 GPA and will graduate on Saturday with a bachelor's degree in neuroscience. He claimed a spot on the Dean's List each semester since enrolling at Creighton in the fall of 2013.Â
The Niwot, Colo., native received the Rev. Carl M. Reinhart, S.J., Male Scholar-Athlete Award at the 2017 Creighton Athletics Hall of Fame banquet last month.
On the courts, the senior picked up 11 singles victories while playing at the top two positions during the 2017 dual season. He also earned his 50th career victory with a straight-sets win during the final day (March 9) of the Bluejays' 2017 spring break trip to Florida. Lang went 10-9 in doubles action, including a 9-8 mark while pairing with Kendall at the No. 1 position.
Kendall holds a 4.00 GPA while studying finance and economics, and has been on the Dean's List each semester since enrolling at CU in the fall of 2014.Â
The Prairie Village, Kan., native led the Bluejays with 13 singles victories during the recently completely spring season. He also went 9-8 in doubles action while playing all 17 matches with Lang at the top slot.
Under the direction of head coach Tom Lilly, the Creighton men's tennis team finished the 2017 dual season at 10-11, which included a victory over Xavier at the BIG EAST Championships.Â
