Bluejays are one of two BIG EAST schools in Top 25
The Bluejays ended the first weekend of the season 1-1-0 with a golden goal victory over Grand Canyon (1-0 in 2OT) on Sunday and a loss against No. 17 Virginia Tech (2-0) to open the season on Friday.Â
Creighton is one of two teams from the BIG EAST listed in this week's poll. Butler moved up eight spots to No. 17 after going 1-0-0 last week. Providence and Georgetown also received votes in this week's poll.Â
In other polls, the Bluejays are No. 16 in the College Soccer News Top 30 and not listed in the Top Drawer Soccer Top 25.
Creighton will travel to California later this week for a pair of matches against Pac-12 opponents. The Bluejays will play against No. 1 and two-time defending national champion Stanford on Friday night at 9 p.m. (CST) in Palo Alto, Calif. before playing California on Sunday at 3 p.m. (CST) in Berkeley, Calif. Both matches will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks.Â
