Scouting S. John's (7-7, 0-3 BE)
The Red Storm opened the season with six wins in their first eight contests, but have dropped five of their last seven. St. John's enters Friday's contest on a four-game losing streak and will come in a bit short-handed as Akina Wellere was limited to two minutes by an injury against Providence on Tuesday and leading scorer Andrayah Adams did not play.
The Red Storm bring a very balanced offensive attack to the floor against the Bluejays as five players average double-figures, led by Adams' 12.2 ppg. Just a hair behind are Wellere and Maya Singleton at 11.9 ppg.
One constant under head coach Joe Tartamella has been the defensive intensity of the Red Storm. St. John's will slow the game down, preferring to play in the 40-50 range.

Creighton vs. St. John's Series History
Creighton trails the series with the Red Storm by one game, but Creighton swept the series last season. The Bluejays are 4-1 against St. John's in New York, claiming the last three meetings.Scouting S. John's (7-7, 0-3 BE)

Keys Against St. John's
- Limit Mistakes: St. John's forces 18.0 turnovers per game, which feeds its offense. If the Bluejays can take care of the ball, they make offense much harder for the Red Storm.
- Take Advantage of the Red Storm injurys: Even if Adams and/or Wellere return on Friday, neither will be at their best. The Bluejays must create separation early to put the game away.
- Block out Singleton: Surprisingly the Red Storm have been outrebounded on the season, 546-501. Singleton alone had 172 rebounds for St. John's, averaging 12.3 per game.
