The first regular-season home game will be on Tuesday, Nov. 6, when the Bluejays host Western Illinois at 7:30 p.m. McDermott returns starters Davion Mintz and Martin Krampelj among eight letterwinners from last year's NCAA Tournament team that finished 21-12 and tied for third place in the BIG EAST. CU has ranked in the top-10 nationally in average home attendance each of the last seven seasons, finishing fifth last year.Â
Head coach Jim Flanery's women's basketball team will open the season on Tuesday, Oct. 23 with an exhibition game against Nebraska-Kearney at D.J. Sokol Arena inside the Wayne and Eileen Ryan Athletic Center (7:00 p.m., tip-off). The first regular-season home game will be on Wednesday, Nov. 7, when the Bluejays host South Dakota at 6:00 p.m. The Bluejay women went 19-13 last season, reaching the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season. It marked CU's 11th straight postseason appearance. Flanery's club returns its top two scorers from a year ago in Audrey Faber and Jaylyn Agnew.
