OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton Volleyball team is ranked 10th in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll for the seventh straight week.

This is the 11th time in program history that Creighton has made it into the top-10, and school-record seventh consecutive week in a row. The No. 10 ranking matches a season-high. CU's all-time best ranking in program history is No. 7, in the poll released on Aug. 28, 2017.

The Jays didn't move in the rankings after improving to 10-0 in BIG EAST play following wins over Xavier (3-2) and Butler (3-0) last week. Fellow BIG EAST rival Marquette checks in at No. 18 this week, matching its best ranking ever.

Creighton (18-4, 10-0 BIG EAST) is 76-21 all-time when playing as a ranked team in the AVCA poll. The Bluejays have now been ranked in 46 all-time polls, and are one of 12 clubs to be ranked in each of the last 32 editions. The Bluejays have been in every poll since Oct. 31, 2016.

BYU remained in the top spot in the national rankings with 60 first-place votes. Stanford held steady at No. 2 and is followed in the top-five by Minnesota, Penn State and Pittsburgh.

After coming in at No. 20 in the third official NCAA RPI of the season last Monday, the Bluejays dropped two spots to 22nd this week.

Creighton improved two spots to 10th in the VolleyMob.com poll, matching its season-best in that poll from two weeks ago.

The Bluejays start a stretch of four straight road matches on Friday at 7 p.m. when it takes on No. 18 Marquette (19-4, 9-1 BIG EAST) on BEDN.
