Statement from Creighton University Director of Athletics Bruce Rasmussen Regarding Federal Court case

During testimony Thursday in a federal court case, Brian Bowen, Sr. claimed that Creighton University, through Assistant Coach Preston Murphy, allegedly offered money and a job in exchange for his son's commitment to attend Creighton. We have taken these allegations very seriously, yet as leaders we must have patience and allow the process to run its course. I have great respect for those that are managing the process, and based upon our continuing review, we have found no evidence to substantiate Mr. Bowen's testimony. We are confident that Coach Greg McDermott and members of his staff uphold the highest standards of integrity in recruiting.
