Creighton Women's Hoops Returns to the Road as the Bluejays battle South Dakota State on Thursday

Omaha, Neb. -- In the midst of a three-game road trip, the Creighton women's basketball team returns to the hardwood on Thursday, Nov. 15 as the Bluejays face off with the South Dakota State Jackrabbits at 7:00 pm in Brookings, S.D.

Scouting South Dakota State (2-1)
After suffering a lopsided loss to #19 Marquette, 91-52, to open the season, the Jackrabbits have won two in a row heading into the game with the Bluejays. South Dakota State defeated Florida Gulf Coast in its home opener, 80-62, on Nov. 9, then bested Central Michigan in a road game on Monday (80-71).
The trio of Macy Miller, Madison Guebert and Tagyn Larson are each averaging double figures during the young season. Miller leads the squad with 18.3 ppg, while Guerbert is at 14.0 ppg and Larson has 34 points in three game (11.3 ppg).
Scouting Creighton (1-1)
Following an up and down showing against South Dakota, the Bluejays rebounded with a strong performance in their road opening game at North Dakota State on Nov. 9. Twelve Bluejays saw action, with four topping double figures in an 86-51 win.
Senior Audrey Faber has been particularly impressive in Creighton's opening two contests as the forward posted 27 and 17 point showings and is shooting better than 50%
(14-of-27 - 51.9%).
While Faber has been as expected, redshirt freshman Gracey Griglione reached double figures in her opening game as a Bluejay with 12 points against the Bison on Nov. 9.

Freshman Gracey Griglione made an immediate impact in her first action for the Bluejays as the Iowa native delivered 12 points on 5-of-6 from the field in the Bluejays' 86-51 win at North Dakota State on Nov. 9.
Faber Wasted No Time Collecting Awards
It took just two games into the 2018-19 season for senior Audrey Faber to begin adding to her award resume as the Iowa native earned a spot on the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Monday, Nov. 12. Faber delivered 27 points in Creighton's season-opener, then followed up with 17 in the Bluejays' win at North Dakota State.
Summit League Quartet
Creighton wraps up its third consecutive game against a Summit League squad on Thursday, Nov. 15 as the Bluejays battle South Dakota State. Entering the contest the Bluejays split games with South Dakota and North Dakota State. Creighton's will also face off with another Summit League opponent in early December as the Bluejays battle Nebraska-Omaha on Dec. 5.
