AVCA Top 25 Poll | VolleyMob.com Poll | NCAA RPI

OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton Volleyball team is ranked in the top-10 of the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll for a 12th straight week, coming in at No. 9 for the fifth straight week. This is the 17th time in program history that Creighton has made it into the top-10.

Creighton's No. 9 ranking is the program's best ever entering the postseason. CU's all-time best ranking in program history for any week is No. 7, which came in the poll released on Aug. 28, 2017.

Creighton held steady after winning a fifth straight BIG EAST Championship with wins over Villanova (3-0) and No. 16 Marquette (3-1) last week.

Creighton (28-4, 18-0 BIG EAST) is 86-21 all-time when playing as a ranked team in the AVCA poll, including a 36-4 mark at home. The Bluejays have now been ranked in 51 all-time polls, and are one of 10 clubs to be ranked in each of the last 37 editions. The Bluejays have been in every poll since Oct. 31, 2016.

Stanford took over the top spot in the poll, earning 63-of-64 first place votes. Minnesota, Illinois, BYU and Texas rounded out the top five.

Creighton improved three spots to N o. 13 in the 10th official NCAA RPI of the season. Creighton owns five top-25 RPI wins, having defeated No. 8 Kentucky, No. 15 Marquette (three times) and No. 16 UNI this fall.

Creighton remained a season-best ninth in the VolleyMob.com poll.

The Bluejays will host the NCAA Tournament beginning on Friday at D.J. Sokol Arena. No. 22 Washington meets Saint Mary's at 3:30 p.m., followed by No. 9 Creighton's 6:00 p.m. match against South Dakota.
