Lining Up for the Tip

- The last time the Bluejays dropped a season-opening home game was in
- 2012-13. That season Creighton fell to #12 Oklahoma 69-48, then rebounded to post wins at South Dakota State and South Dakota.
- Creighton leads the overall series with the Bison, 8-1. The Bluejays have been to Fargo twice previously, claiming both contests. The last meeting between the two schools came during the 2012-13 season, a 63-42 victory for Creighton.
- The 2012-13 season was also the last time that Creighton posted a win in its road opener, dropping its first road game in each of the last five seasons.
- Under coach Flanery the Bluejays are 2-14 in road opening games. The two victories came in consecutive seasons, 2011-12 over North Dakota (72-54) over South Dakota State (63-54) in 2012-13. During both of those seasons the Bluejays went on to reach the NCAA Tournament.
- All-time the Bluejays are 10-34 in road opening games.
- Although Creighton will play its next three games on the road, the Bluejays will have plenty of prep time as the Bluejays have no less than five days between contests until Dec. 5th against Nebraska-Omaha.
