Women's Basketball Battles Top Seed Marquette For a Spot in the BIG EAST Finals

Chicago, Ill.-- Looking to reach the BIG EAST Tournament Final for the second time in three seasons, the Creighton women's basketball team battle the top seed Marquette on Monday, March 5 at 3:00 pm (CT) on Fox Sports 1.

Creighton vs. Marquette Series History
Creighton holds the series edge on the Golden Eagles, 12-6.
Last season the Bluejays took both regular season meetings with Marquette, but the Golden Eagles have won the last two contests.

The BIG EAST co-champs and top seed in the tournament, Marquette is tough opponent in the semifinals for Creighton.
In the first meeting with the Bluejays, the Golden Eagles blew away Creighton with a 14-2 run to open the third quarter.
In Milwaukee, the Bluejays shot 53% from the field. Sydney Lamberty led the way with 18, while Audrey Faber's traditional three-point play provided the final one-point margin of victory.
