Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton Baseball has a full plate this week as the Bluejays battle South Dakota State and Kansas during the midweek, before heading to New York for a series with St. John's over the weekend.

The Bluejays enter the midweek games against South Dakota State and Kansas at the onset of a brutal three-week stretch. In addition to moving one of their three home series to a neutral site last weekend, the Bluejays play five games this week. Following the midweek battles the Bluejays head to the airport at 4:00 am on Thursday for a three-game set against BIG EAST favorite St. John's.
Creighton returns to campus for a Tuesday battle with UNO, then heads to Ohio for a three-game set with the defending BIG EAST champion Xavier. The following midweek battle sends the Bluejays to Lincoln to face Nebraska, then off to Brookings for another tussle with the Jackrabbits.
Entering the week ranked 16 in the RPI, Creighton will try to grind out victories during this stretch, then re-evalute the season.
Bluejays vs. South Dakota State
Creighton leads the series with the Jackrabbits, 22-5. Three of the last six meetings between the two teams have gone to extra innings. Creighton has won the last eight games between the two squads.
