Creighton Hosts South Dakota State on Tuesday
Omaha, Neb. -- Behind the new Creighton Basketball wins leader, head coach Jim Flanery, the Bluejay women's basketball team opens its home schedule against South Dakota State on Tuesday, Nov. 12th at 7 pm in D.J. Sokol Arena.

The Bluejays hold a 7-4 edge on the Jackrabbits, taking three of six meetings in Brookings. South Dakota State has won three out of the last four, taking down the Bluejays 77-65 last season in Brookings.

Scouting South Dakota State (0-1)
After reaching the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament last season, the Jackrabbits lost their top two leading scorers last season in Macy Miller and Madison Guebert. Despite their departure, SDSU is expected to remain near the top of the Summit League with the return of three starters (Myah Selland, Tagyn Larson and Tylee Irwin).
In the season opener the Jackrabbits pushed Drake deep into the fourth quarter in Des Moines, falling 74-67 on Nov. 8th. Sophomore Paiton Burckhard led SDSU with 18 points, while Rylie Casio Jensen had nine points and seven rebounds.
The Jackrabbits shot 45 percent from the field against Drake (27-of-60), but were an uncharacteristic 7-of-12 (58.3 percent) from the line.
Scouting Creighton (1-0)
The Bluejays opened the season with a 67-54 win at UNO, getting a career-high 25 points from junior Temi Carda. The Bluejays also got 14 points from senior Jaylyn Agnew. Both Carda and Agnew led the squad with six rebounds in the win. Freshmen Carly Bachelor and Mykel Parham made their Bluejay debut, while Dee Dee Pryor was sidelined with a hamstring injury. Pryor is expected to play against the Jackrabbits.
Creighton shot 37.1 from the field against UNO (23-of-62), cooling off in the second half as the Bluejays went just 8-of-29 (27.6 percent) from the field in the final 20 minutes.
Flanery Claims All-Time Bluejay Basketball Win Lead with 328th Victory
With the Bluejays' 67-54 win over UNO on Nov. 5th, Creighton women's head coach Jim Flanery took over sole possession of the most Bluejay wins for a basketball coach. Flanery surpassed former MBB coach Dana Altman.

Carda Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll
Carda posted the single-game high last week with 25 points off 7-of-12 shooting in Tuesday's win at Omaha. She added six rebounds, four assists and four steals to stuff the stat sheet in the Bluejays' season opener.
