Bluejays and Hoyas To Play Doubleheader on Friday
Omaha, Neb. -- A recurring theme throughout the 2019 season for Creighton Baseball has been battling the elements as well as the opposition. Weather concerns will impact Creighton's weekend series once more as the Bluejays' road battle with Georgetown has been changed to a doubleheader on Friday, May 3 beginning at 4:00 pm (CT).
Concerns about showers forecast for both Saturday and Sunday have forced the move. For now the final game remains scheduled on Saturday, May 4 at 5:00 pm, but the game is expected to be moved to find a window to play on either Saturday or Sunday.
This is the 16th game of the season to be directly impacted by weather. The Bluejays have cancelled 10 games this season and been forced to move six other games. Despite the floating schedule, Creighton enters the weekend series with Georgetown at 26-10 overall and 6-3 in BIG EAST play.
