Davion Mintz Withdraws From NBA Draft, Will Return For Senior Season

Rising senior averaged 9.7 points per game last year
OMAHA, Neb. -- Davion Mintz has withdrawn from the NBA Draft and will be returning to Creighton for his senior season.
In a tweet this morning, Mintz wrote "After testing the NBA draft process, talking with my family, coaches and consistent prayer, I have decided that I will be returning to school for my senior season & complete my degree. Enjoyed my time during the draft process, developing my game and showing my upside. 1 is back."
A 6-foot-3 guard from Charlotte, N.C., Mintz has started 79 of Creighton's last 82 games and coming off a season where he posted personal-bests with 341 points (9.7 ppg.), 105 assists (3.0 apg.) and 105 rebounds (3.0 apg.). Mintz drained 43 three-pointers and ranked second on the club with 40 steals.
Creighton finished the 2018-19 season with a 20-15 record, advancing to the quarterfinals of the National Invitation Tournament while winning 20 or more games for the 19th time in the last 21 seasons.
Five former Bluejays spent time in the NBA during the 2018-19 season -- Kyle Korver, Anthony Tolliver, Doug McDermott, Justin Patton and Khyri Thomas.
