Athletic Department Honored For Work On Two Publications By CoSIDA

2018-19 CoSIDA Publications Contest Results

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Two Creighton University Athletics publications earned a total of three national recognitions at the recently-completed College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Workshop held in Orlando, Fla., including a pair of "Best in Nation" accolades.

There were 30 Division I colleges, universities and conference offices that were honored overall, but Creighton's three accolades were tied for seventh-most nationally. Creighton was also the only BIG EAST school recognized.

Two of the honors went towards publications involving Creighton's men's soccer. For the third time in the last four years, the men's soccer media guide was voted "Best in Nation". The media guide cover also earned a similar "Best in Nation" honor for the third time in four seasons. Assistant Sports Information Director Anthony Robinson and Assistant Director of Marketing - Multimedia & Design Joey Gardner contributed on the men's soccer media guide and its cover.

Creighton's men's basketball game notes also were recognized with fourth-place recognition in the University category for game notes among winter sports. Sports Information Director Rob Anderson wrote those.

The 2019 awards haul gives the Creighton Sports Information Office 20 awards and honors in the last 12 years for its excellence in publications, writing and overall service to the media, including multiple awards in each of the last four years.
