BIG EAST Pan American Games Team To Play Scrimmage on Wednesday

Lone tune-up prior to the Pan American Games will be video webcast
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The BIG EAST team that is representing USA Basketball at the Pan American Games will play an exhibition game against East Coast Basketball on Wednesday, July 24, at 5 p.m. Central at Friar Ruane Development Center in Providence, R.I.
The game will be video webcast at no charge via @BIGEAST on Twitter.Â
The BIG EAST team includes two players with connections to Creighton, rising junior Ty-Shon Alexander, and 2016 graduate Geoffrey Groselle, who has played professionally in Asia and Europe. Player roster, profiles and additional information are located at www.bigeast.com/panam.
East Coast Basketball features a 12-man team from eight universities, including Syracuse, Notre Dame, Bryant and Princeton.
On Saturday the BIG EAST team will fly to Lima, Peru, where it will represent USA Basketball in the Pan American Games with five games in as many days from July 31-August 4. The American club will be seeking its first men's basketball gold medal at the Pan American Games since a 1983 team that featured Michael Jordan, Chris Mullin, Sam Perkins, Ed Pinckney and Wayman Tisdale.
