Volleyball's Keeley Davis Repeats as BIG EAST Freshman of the Week

Colorado native had 31 kills and 11 digs last week
OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton Volleyball's Keeley Davis has been named a repeat winner of the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week award.
An outside hitter from Highlands Ranch, Colo., Davis averaged 2.82 kills, 1.00 digs, 0.45 blocks and 0.18 aces per set on .239 hitting to help Creighton to a runner-up finish at the Bluejay Invitational last week.

Davis hit a season-best .500 with seven kills in 14 swings against Nebraska-Omaha on Friday, then added 10 kills, six digs, three blocks and an ace in a 3-1 victory over Drake. She wrapped up the weekend with a season-best 14 kills against No. 12 Washington, adding four digs and a block.

Davis leads CU with 83 kills during her redshirt freshman season, and is one of three freshmen (JoDe Cieloha, Jaali Winters) in program history with 10 or more kills in six of her first eight career matches.
Ranked 15th nationally, Creighton (5-3) hosts the Creighton Classic later this week. The event starts with Thursday's 6:30 p.m. home match against Wichita State that will air statewide on NET.
