About St. John's
Scouting St. John's (11-7, 4-3 BIG EAST)
Despite playing without talented freshman Lelani Correra on Friday, the Red Storm held serve at home with a win over Providence. This season St. John's has been a diversion from the typical Red Storm teams that were defense driven. Instead St. John's has been led by its offense.
Starting four guards, the Red Storm are averaging just under 75 points per game. St. John's has four players averaging double figures per game, led by senior Quadashah Hoppie's 17.2 ppg and Correra's 13.8 ppg.
Defensively the Red Storm are still strong at pressuring the ball, but have lapsed on the glass this season averaging just 33.8 rebounds per game.
Scouting Creighton (12-5, 4-2 BIG EAST)
The Bluejays ran into a buzzsaw on Friday as Seton Hall delivered 32 points in the
opening quarter and did not look back. A strong second half team this season, the Bluejays were unable to claw all the way back, but did cut the deficit to single digits in the second half.
Creighton is a team that remains second in the country in fewest turnovers per game at 10.7. Senior Jaylyn Agnew has carried the load on offense with 19.8 ppg, while junior Temi Carda has provided a complimentary scoring punch.
The end most improved for Creighton this season remains its defense. Friday's output by Seton Hall was the most points the Bluejays have allowed this season. Creighton has limited the opposition to 63 points of less in 11 of 17 games.
Keys To the Game
Agnew Becomes Just 15th Bluejay with at least 1,000 Points and 600 Rebounds

The last player to do so was Audrey Faber, who finished her career (2015-19) with 1,857 points and 601 rebounds.
Agnew enters the game with St. John's with 1,347 points and 606 rebounds.

Keys To the Game
- Getting Balance on Offense: Each team needs to get multiple players involved on offense, rather than relying so heavily on Agnew or Hoppie.
- Controlling the Paint: Typically in battles featuring the Red Storm and Bluejays this is an area that turns the game. The difference this season is Creighton appears to have the advantage in the post. Can the Bluejays go into the paint and use their size, or will the Red Storm keep the pace moving and dice up the Bluejays.
- Turnovers: St. John's strength at the guard position could force Creighton to turn the ball over much more than the Bluejays would like. Creighton must limit turnovers and execute to win on Sunday.
