Cross Country Teams Honored by USTFCCCA With All-Academic Honors

Both of Chris Gannon's teams owned GPA's of 3.55 or better
OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton University men's and women's cross country programs have each been honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for their academic achievements in the classroom. Both squads on Thursday garnered USTFCCCA All-Academic Team recognition.
The Creighton women's cross country program owns a 3.78 cumulative GPA, while the men earned a 3.55 GPA.
Overall, there were 237 women's teams and 191 men's programs that received All-Academic honors in NCAA Division I. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.

The Arkansas women and BYU men were honored as Scholar Teams of the Year. To achieve the highest honor, each team had to be the top finishing team for their gender and have accumulated a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2019 season.
Coached by Chris Gannon, the Creighton women placed seventh and men were eighth in the BIG EAST Championships in November.
