Women's Soccer Adds Sixth Signee for 2021

Hitomi Yamaue Joins Bluejays from National Champion Tyler JC
Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton women's soccer head coach Ross Paule delivered the sixth signee for the 2021 season, adding Hitomi Yamaue from the 2019 National Champion Tyler Junior College.
Yamaue (Okayama, Japan) joins Greta Betz (Cincinnati, Ohio), Taylor Daffer (Omaha, Neb.) Bailey Laplante (De Soto, Kan.), Hailey Rothwell (Madison, Wis.) and Kennedy Ruark (Overland Park, Kan.) as the Bluejays' 2021 signing class.
A defender for the Apaches, Yamaue appeared in 23 matches with 22 starts. She collected one goal and three assists during the season. As part of the national championship defense, Yamaue and her teammates allowed two goals just twice, posting 12 shutouts.
During her freshman season in 2019, Yamaue was an All-South Region First Team defender.
"Hitomi will be a great addition to our program and our back line. She is a very smart player with excellent character," said Paule. "She reads the game very well, organizes and brings a great calmness both with the ball and without. She knows what it takes to consistently fight for and to win championships."
