After Friday's Game at Xavier was Postponed, Bluejays Face Bulldogs
Indianapolis, Ind. -- With Friday's BIG EAST scheduled opener at Xavier postponed, the Creighton Women's Basketball team grabbed the rebound and will look for a second chance win in the new BIG EAST opener at Butler on Sunday at 3:00 pm (CT).

Series with Butler: Bluejays Lead Bulldogs 9-8
Creighton holds a slim lead in the series with Butler. The Bulldogs took both meetings with Creighton last season and have won four of the last five with the Bluejays.

The Bulldogs season was delayed by Covid Issues in late November, then again with the scheduled BIG EAST season opener against Seton Hall on Dec. 4.
As a result Butler opened its 2020-21 season on Saturday, Dec. 5 against Providence. The Bulldogs were a bit off,
suffering a 73-52 loss to the Friars.
Although Butler as team shot just 28.3%, Okako Adika was en fuego with 29 points on 10-of-21 from the field. She also tied for the team lead with six rebounds.
Butler will turn around for its second BIG EAST game in less than 24 hours as the Bulldogs host Creighton on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 3:00 pm (CT).

Scouting Creighton (0-3)
The Bluejays have struggled on offense in their first three games, playing without point guard Tatum Rembao.
The Colorado native is expected to make her season debut on Friday.
On Monday in Brookings, South Dakota the Bluejays got a nice performance from freshman Emma Ronsiek (15 points).

- Ball Handling: Butler forced Providence into 18 turnovers on Saturday. Creighton must take care of the basketball to get its offense going.
- Youth in the Paint: Butler was outscored 24-14 in the paint in its season opener, while the Bluejays have been outscored 80-46 on the season. Both teams are in the process of turning the post over to newer players. For Creighton its sophomore Mykel Parham and freshman Emma Ronsiek. Butler will counter with Nyamer Diew and Okako Adika.
- Rembao: Having their point guard back will allow Carda to slide back into the off the ball role that she is more comfortable in.
