Ross enters his final semester at Dartmouth and is set to join the Bluejay program for 2021-22
OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton men's tennis head coach Tom Lilly announced the addition of Casey Ross, who will join the Bluejay program for the 2021-22 season as a graduate transfer after completing his final semester this spring at Dartmouth.
The Littleton, Colorado native posted 38 wins during his first three seasons of doubles action at Dartmouth, including 17 in 2017-18 as a sophomore. Last season, Ross paired with Peter Conklin for victories at No. 2 doubles against a nationally-ranked pair from Alabama (team ranked No. 26) and a duo from Minnesota (No. 37). Ross and Conklin teamed up to rank 51st nationally in the Oracle/ITA Division I Men's Doubles rankings on Feb. 5, 2020.
Ross earned a five-star rating by TennisRecruiting.net in high school and ranked in the top 40 nationally in the class of 2017. He earned a pair of state championships and claimed the Colorado Tennis Association Jack Cella Outstanding High School Player award, the Colorado High Schools Athletics Association Player of the Year and the Wes Richards Sportsmanship Award.
"Casey has been a strong player, not only as a junior in his state, region and nationally, but he has also made his mark at the collegiate level," Lilly said. "Dartmouth is consistently in the top 40 in Division I tennis and he has been a regular in the doubles lineup and played some great singles as well. We are excited that he will be joining us while he attends graduate school here next year. He will give us a lot of collegiate experience at a very high level and is a great addition to our program as a person and a player."
