Rembao Claims BIG EAST Player of the Week

Rembao was the BIG EAST's top scorer last week, posting back-to-back 20-point outings in a 1-1 home swing for the Bluejays. The junior guard scored a game-high 21 points in Friday's single-digit setback to St. John's, adding four assists and five rebounds. She followed with 20 points, including a 5-of-5 clip from deep, along with four assists and five boards in Sunday's win over Seton Hall.
For the week she averaged a BIG EAST-best 20.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 50-percent shooting, including a league-high 83.3-percent clip from three along with a 16-of-18 mark from the charity stripe.
Rembao and the Bluejays head out for their final BIG EAST road trip of the season this weekend as Creighton battles Butler and Xavier.

BIG EAST Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week
Camryn Taylor, Marquette, Fr., F
Taylor sparked the Golden Eagles to a big 2-0 weekend thanks to hot shooting and consistent play. The rookie averaged 11.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 60-percent shooting in home wins over Xavier and Butler. Taylor scored in double figures in both games over the weekend, including a 13-point, four-rebound, two-assist showing in Sunday's victory over the Bulldogs, which including a 5-of-7 shooting performance. Through 15 BIG EAST contests, Taylor is averaging 10.1 points and .521 shooting.
BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll
Chante Stonewall, DePaul, Sr., F
Stonewall led the Blue Demons to at least a share of the BIG EAST regular-season title thanks to another 2-0 weekend. The senior averaged 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals in victories over Butler and Xavier.
Isabelle Spingola, Marquette, Sr., G
Spingola finished second in the BIG EAST in scoring last week, leading Marquette to a 2-0 home swing with 19.0 points off .464 shooting, including .526 from beyond the arc, along with 4.0 rebounds. Both her scoring totals were game highs, including 21 points against Xavier and 17 points against Butler.
Alyssa Geary, Providence, So., F
Geary posted back-to-back double-digit scoring games last week, beginning with a 12-point, six-rebound outing against Seton Hall on Friday before going for 10 points, four rebounds and three assists in Sunday's win over St. John's.
Qadashah Hoppie, St. John's, Jr., G
Hoppie averaged 18.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 50-percent shooting in a 1-1 road swing for the Red Storm. She scored a game-high 22 points in St. John's single-point loss at Providence on Sunday.
Bridget Herlihy, Villanova, Sr., F
Herlihy tied for the game high with 15 points at Georgetown on Sunday, adding five rebounds and three blocks as the Wildcats earned the season sweep of the Hoyas.
