Men's Tennis Wins Four Three-Set Matches To Sweep Green Bay, 7-0

The Bluejays improved to 3-4 with their first victory of the season away from Omaha.
Creighton secured the doubles point with wins at the top two positions. Stratton Brown and Joe Hoff won 6-4 at No. 2, while Nick Campbell and Mac Mease combined for a 6-3 victory at the top position.
After claiming a pair of straight-sets singles wins (Hoff, No. 6 and Mease, No. 4) the Bluejays won in three sets at the other four slots.
Jose Oscar Diaz won his first set at No. 3 before falling in the second. In the deciding third set, Diaz posted a 7-5 decision to clinch the overall dual.
Brown also won in the first set in the No. 2 match before dropping the second set by a slim margin. Brown matched Diaz with a 7-5 win in the final frame.
Daniel Lopez-Rey earned his third three-set victory at the No. 5 position. The senior split the first two frames by the same score (6-3) before earning a tiebreaker win in the deciding set, as Lopez-Rey outlasted his opponent 7-3 in the tiebreaker.
Campbell wrapped up Friday's action with his team-leading sixth win at the top slot. The Cyprus native dropped the first set in a tiebreaker but responded with a 6-3 win in the second and 10-6 victory in a 10-point tiebreaker to decide the match.
"This was a strong win for us today," head coach Tom Lilly said. "The score does not reflect how close this match was. I'm proud of how we competed in a tough environment on the road on some fast courts against a good team."
The Bluejays return to the courts on Saturday afternoon for a match in Milwaukee against Marquette. The Bluejays and Golden Eagles will meet at 2 p.m.
