The Bluejays moved to 3-5 and ended their trip to Wisconsin with a 1-1 mark after recording a win at Green Bay on Friday.
The host Golden Eagles earned Saturday's doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and 3 positions.
Jose Oscar Diaz and Joe Hoff each earned singles victories for Creighton. Diaz won in straight-sets at No. 4, while Hoff claimed a three-set victory at No. 6. Hoff won the first set, 7-6 before falling 6-2 in the second. During a deciding 10-point tiebreaker, Hoff tallied a 10-7 win.
Marquette secured the overall dual with three straight-sets victories and one three-set win. Stratton Brown forced a third set at No. 2 singles with a 6-4 second-frame win but fell 10-5 in the 10-point decider.
"We didn't compete as well as we wanted to in a few spots, and we just aren't good enough to not have a full team competing for an entire match," head coach Tom Lilly said. "We now have some time to rest some injured bodies before a grueling spring break week."
The Bluejays are off until their annual trip to Orlando. Creighton will play four matches in four days, March 9-12.
