Men's Tennis Stays Perfect In Florida Following 7-0 Sweep of Northern Kentucky

Bluejays are 3-0 this week during Spring Break trip
The Bluejays moved their season record to 6-5 and improved to 3-0 this week during the team's Spring Break trip to Florida.
Creighton started Wednesday's action with doubles wins at the No. 2 and 3 positions. Jose Oscar Diaz and Armando Gandini paired up for a 6-2 win at No. 3 before Joe Hoff and Stratton Brown combined for a 6-1 victory at the No. 2 slot.
The Bluejays won four singles matches in straight-sets and two in three frames. Hoff (No. 6) and Mac Mease (No. 4) each won in straight-sets before Brown clinched the dual with a 6-4, 6-3 win in the No. 2 singles match. Diaz also won in straight-sets, 6-4, 7-5 at No. 3. Daniel Lopez-Rey and Nick Campbell secured three-set wins at the No. 5 and No. 1 positions, respectively. Both Lopez-Rey and Campbell won their first sets before falling in the second and each played 10-point tiebreakers for the deciding frame. Lopez-Rey secured a 10-4 third-set win, while Campbell posted a 11-9 victory at the top slot to close out the match.
"Our team continues to show up prepared for battle on every court," head coach Tom Lilly said. "We will need another huge effort tomorrow to finish how we want to against a strong Boston team."
Creighton and Boston University will meet on Thursday morning at 11:15 a.m. Central for the Bluejays' final match of the week in Florida.
