TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Creighton men's tennis claimed a 2020 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team award and six individuals from the men's squad earned scholar-athlete awards, the ITA announced on Tuesday.Â
The Bluejay men accumulated a 3.75 GPA during the spring and 3.46 last fall. This is the 12th straight year that Creighton has attained ITA All-Academic Team recognition.
Armando Gandini and Daniel Lopez-Rey each received scholar-athlete accolades for a third straight season, with Luke Moorhead bringing home the honor for a second consecutive year. Stratton Brown, Nick Campbell and Henry Lozano each were selected for the first time.
This year the ITA saw an increase in qualifying teams and scholar-athletes. All-Academic honors were awarded to 186 teams and 979 scholar-athletes at the Division I level.
Â
