OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton Volleyball team is ranked 14th in this week's AVCA Top 25 poll, moving up one spot from the preseason spring ranking of No. 15 bestowed three weeks earlier.

The Bluejays started their spring season with back-to-back 3-0 sweeps at home over Nebraska-Omaha and Northern Iowa last weekend, the first time in eight tries that the program has started a season with a pair of home wins.

This week marks the 56th consecutive week the Bluejays have been ranked when eligible, the nation's 10th-longest active streak. The Bluejays have now been ranked in 70 all-time polls, and every poll since Oct. 31, 2016. CU's all-time best ranking in program history is No. 7, which came in the poll released on Aug. 28, 2017.

Creighton is one of two BIG EAST teams that are ranked this week, as Marquette fell from No. 20 to No. 25.

Creighton returns to action this weekend with a pair of matches vs. South Dakota, beginning with a 7 p.m. home match on Friday.
