Omaha, Neb. -- Head coach Ross Paule announced the seventh addition for the 2021, signing Alyssa Judkins from Omaha Burke High School on Wednesday, Jan. 27.Â
Judkins joins the 2021 signing class of Greta Betz (Cincinnati, Ohio), Taylor Daffer (Omaha, Neb.) Bailey Laplante (De Soto, Kan.), Hailey Rothwell (Madison, Wis.), Kennedy Ruark (Overland Park, Kan.) and Hitomi Yamaue (Okayama, Japan).Â
A defender for the Bulldogs, Judkins is slated to begin her second season at Burke HS this spring. She spent her first two high school seasons competing in the U.S Soccer Development Academy with Sporting Omaha.
A three-time USYS National league qualifier, four-time Nebraska State Champion/Midwest regional qualifier, and Youth National Championship qualifier, Judkins has played in almost every level of competition from Nebraska League, MRL, National League, Development Academy, and ECNL this past year. She was the only defender selected to the Best 11 last spring and was the DA defender of the year.
In the classroom Judkins holds a class ranking of 14 out of 497 students and is a member of the National Honor Society.
"I have watched Alyssa play against some very good opponents on multiple occasions and she is rarely beaten," said Paule. "She is a natural leader in her youth club now and with time in our program, I see her developing these great qualities. "
