Men's Basketball Welcomes Recruiting Class

Bluejays add Jasen Green and Ben Shtolzberg
OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton University has signed Jasen Green and Ben Shtolzberg to a letter-of-intent. Both men will enroll next fall with four years of eligibility.
"We are excited to add Jasen and Ben to our program," said Creighton head coach Greg McDermott. "They are a perfect fit for the positional needs of our team moving forward. In addition, their approach to the game, work ethic and character will enhance our culture."
Creighton won a share of the BIG EAST regular-season title in 2019-20, then advanced to its first Sweet 16 since 1974 last spring. This year's team is 1-0 heading into Thursday night's game vs. Kennesaw State.

- Ranked as No. 190 player in 247Sports Composite rankings (No. 2 in Nebraska) and a three-star recruit.
- Named Second Team All-State when he averaged 12.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.3 steals per game on 63 percent shooting as a junior.
- Helped Millard North win the state Class A state title as a junior, scoring the first six points of overtime and 18 points overall in a title game win vs. Bellevue West.
- Made 36 percent of his three-point shots as a junior
- Coached at Millard North by Tim Cannon.
- Chose Creighton over the likes of Colorado, Nebraska and Iowa State.
- Will become the latest Bluejay from the Omaha metro area, joining Shereef Mitchell, Khyri Thomas, Justin Patton, Josh Jones and Antoine Young.
- Also an Honor Roll student in the classroom.
- Played on the Under Armour AAU circuit with Nebraska Supreme.

- Committed to Creighton in August of 2021.
- Ranked as No. 114 player in 247Sports Composite rankings and a four-star recruit.
- Averaged 18.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in the EYBL this spring.
- As a sophomore, averaged 21.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game for a team that set a state record for three-pointers in a season.
- Made 74-of-205 three-pointers (36.1 percent) and 127-of-160 free throws (79.4 percent) as a sophomore.
- Averaged 19.5 points and 4.0 assists per game as a junior.
- Also had offers from Rutgers, Virginia Tech, Northwestern and Butler, as well as Israeli pro team Maccabi Tel Aviv.
- Plays for coach Matt Sargeant.
- Plays AAU for the Oakland Soldiers.
