OMAHA, Neb. -- Weekend wins over Xavier and Butler moved the Creighton Volleyball team to a 13th in the sixth edition of the official version of the RPI released by the NCAA, and climbed to 23rd in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association poll.

Despite two convincing victories last weekend, Creighton fell two spots to 13th in the RPI but improved just one spot in the AVCA poll. The Bluejays are 24-3 overall this year, tied for the national lead in victories with Western Kentucky (24-1) and Ball State (24-3), and are winners of seven straight matches.

The Bluejays, who have been as high as No. 16 this season in the AVCA poll, have now been ranked in each of the last 10 weeks and 87 times in program history, a figure that ranks 48th-most in history. CU's all-time best ranking in program history is No. 7, which came in the poll released on Aug. 28, 2017. Creighton is 138-34 all-time when playing as a ranked team in the AVCA poll, including a 48-16 mark in road matches. This is the 10th straight season that Creighton has spent at least one week in the top-25, extending another program record.

Marquette remains just outside the top-25 in the AVCA poll, coming in third among those "also receiving votes". The Golden Eagles are 21-4 overall and own an RPI of 14.

Creighton is on the road for a pair of matches this weekend, visiting Georgetown at 1 p.m. Central on Friday and Villanova at 6 p.m. Central on Saturday evening.
