Women's Soccer Opens Season with Hard Fought 1-0 Loss at Missouri

Columbia, Mo. -- The Creighton women's soccer season began its season with a 1-0 loss at Missouri on Thursday, Feb. 25.
The loss moved Creighton to 0-1-0 on the seasons, while Missouri moved to 5-3-2. The Tigers played nine games during the fall season and have also played two exhibition contests.
Despite playing outdoors against an opponent for the first time in more than a year, the Bluejays ended the match tied with the Tigers as each had seven shots.
The lone goal of the match came in the 71st minute. Missouri's Julissa Cisneros punched in a failed clear from four yards out.
Creighton returns to the pitch on Friday, Feb. 26 in an exhibition match against Minnesota State-Mankato. Due to persistent snow in the Omaha area, the match has been relocated to the Omaha Sports Complex at 1:45 pm.
